At around 9:30pm it started raining heavily in Bangalore and the whole Bangalore's traffic went crumbling .. there was news of water logging everywhere... because of which I left 30 minutes late from office at around 11:00 pm.
Just 2.5 kms away from my home there was a this place known as Karthiknagar and there was waterlogging upto the knee, all vehicles were struck in the rains. There was no option for me but to try my luck on another route which would have taken almost 15 kms more just to reach home. I started to go back and I realized it is still difficult to go back as I was again struck in traffic jam... one young fellow advised me to take my bike on other side of the road by lifting my bike and yes he helped me to lift the bike...I was in no mood to take the other route to reach home... and suddenly this fellow asked me whether I can drop him till his house.. the guy was literally wet with water , i felt pity on him and agreed for a lift at that hour. But when I was driving there was this strange fear at the back of my mind whether I am doing the right thing of dropping him at this mid hour of the night or is that I am in trap.. but still I kept driving and after around 20 minutes of driving I dropped him at his house. When he got down i felt relaxed and this young chap was very happy, he had no words to thank me...
It was almost 12:15 am by this time and my office was just around 1 km from this place so thought of going back to office and staying in office the whole night and leaving home early morning...
Yes it was a scary experience and almost for 20 minutes in those rains i was physically driving but mentally i was shaken up inside...but God kept me going...
